At the Bedford Osteopathic Clinic we do not just treat symptoms, but establish and treat the underlying cause of pain.Each phase of life has its own aches, pains and difficulties. At the Putnoe Osteopathic Practice we treat a wide variety of conditions and all types of people from pregnant mothers, children and babies to the elderly and sports people.

Commonly treated conditions are joint pain such as arthritis and all pain in muscles, ligaments or nerves. This includes back pain, sciatica, sports injuries and repetitive strain.

If you do not have aches and pains we can offer you a structural health check. This involves checking each of your joints and muscles to establish any weak points or stressed areas of which you may be unaware. We can then give you advice of how to strengthen these areas and prevent any future problems


Bedford Colonic Clinic is the first registered colonic clinic in Bedford. Our female therapists are highly qualified with extensive knowledge and expertise.

During your treatment and time with us you will be treated with utmost respect and consideration. Your privacy and modesty is preserved at all times.

The Clinic

The clinic was started by Wendy Russell-Rayner BA(Hons) BSc(Hons) ND MACH, a Registered Osteopath who realised that many patients with musculoskeletal aches and pains have bowel and digestive problems. These problems are now recognised to be the underlying cause of toxicity which can cause minor problems such skin blemishes, bad breath or back pains, to more unpleasant conditions such as uncomfortable bloating, irritable bowel and inflammatory bowel conditions. We have a holistic approach to health and are medically trained with access to laboratory testing facilities. We can supply laboratory tests for you by post if you wish.

We can offer treatment, advice, laboratory testing and/ or colon hydrotherapy. We can design a treatment specifically for your needs, whether it be an occasional colonic hydrotherapy treatment or a more in depth investigation, where colon hydrotherapy may be included as part of your treatment programme.
